Autonomous travelling allows a moment of interaction between passengers. The concept "SpeedBubble" is a control system that can be applied in the hydrofoil Seabubble (a boat flying on water developed for flawless transport on inland waterways).
Background
The control system facilitates indirect interaction and gives the passengers a sense of (teamwise) control. It is designed by means of 7 tools of interaction, which are developed by an iterative process of continuous prototype testing.
The Vision in Product design method (Hekkert and van Dijk, 2011) is used to create a future context of shared autonomous travelling. The focus lies on the possible future context, constructed by psychological, cultural and sociological trends and developments. This context, together with desk-and field research functioned as the foundation of the
Process
project. The iterative design process lead to 7 Tools which can function as guidelines for stakeholders in the broader field of shared (autonomous) travelling. All tools are bundled in a guide and thoroughly evaluated in order to add value for all stakeholders involved.

A project in the field of interaction in future shared mobility. I developed tools for stimulating interaction amongst passengers of shared (autonomous) vehicles. These tools are put into practice in order to design a future-oriented concept for the hydrofoil Seabubble in a case study of community sharing. Applying a visionary design method (the VIP approach); facilitating a creative session and an iterative prototyping process by means of repeated testing with MVPs, lead to both the interaction toolkit as the concept-design: SpeedBubble.
